Positive: The cabanas are very close to some Moai sights and very easy to go around the centre for food and shopping. The cabins have complete equipment to cook. The rooms were very comfy with great views. We all enjoyed it very much. Would definitely come back and stay here again with my other group. Owner is also very friendly and quick to response. Highly recommend it!

Negative: We had one cabana with a clogged toilet and had to wait till the next day to get it fixed. Owner told us that the previous customer threw some things in the toilet causing it to be clogged. It was a bit convenient but the owner responded very quickly and fixed the issue.

Positive: The location is unbeatable - ocean views and just a stone’s throw away from Ahu Tahai! Amazing to be able to see the moai statues from our bedroom. Our family of five felt so welcomed by Miti who came to collect us at the airport and had leis ready for us. She also dropped us off at the airport and maintained excellent communication throughout our stay. The two level cottage was spacious enough for us and we loved the views on our short walk into town.

Negative: There is no air conditioning inside the property but we opened the sliding doors and there were fans available to use

Positive: From the moment we landed at Mataveri airport to the final goodbye before our flight, Miti took care of absolutely everything. Her warmth, attentiveness and genuine hospitality turned our stay into something truly special — far beyond what any hotel could offer. The location is unbeatable: Cabañas Anavai sits just steps from Ahu Tahai, one of the most atmospheric moai sites on the island, famous for its stunning sunsets. Watching the sun go down behind the moai from practically your own doorstep is something you'll never forget. The cabins are spacious, clean, well-equipped with a private kitchen and bathroom, and decorated with lovely touches inspired by Rapa Nui culture. If you're visiting Easter Island, this is the only place to stay. We'll try to be back. Thank you, Miti! 🌺

Positive: The location is great but when I requested a room with an ocean view I was told there are no rooms with ocean view. Actually all of them have views of the ocean but 4 and I was assigned #8 with no ocean view 😢

Negative: I was to have a non smoking room but the porch at the entrance to the rooms was the smoking area. All that fresh air coming to the rooms also came with the smoke. Since there was no air conditioning I had to sleep with the window open and therefore put up with the smoke. Not a good thing when you have asthma.

Positive: Amazing views and location a short walk into town. Has amazing sunsets with some famous Moai also on your doorstep. Staff were great and ensured we wee picked up and dropped off from hotel according to our schedule.

Negative: No aircon in rooms but this is pretty normal for the island. Worth requesting a dehumidifier if staying in Summer.

Summary: Very relaxing Cabañas adjacent to one of the best sunset views on the island
